BioMy name is Melissa.
And I am a writer.
I began my blog on January of 2008, during a time when the outlet of paper and pencil were not enough to express myself after about eight years of doing so.
So I took to a different medium, enjoying my amateur publishing; despite the personal exposure that would make more reserved individual cringe with embarrassment.
While I write mostly about my life and experiences, I talk about current affairs, movies, love, people, books, and anything that's on my mind at the time that I feel should be put under the spotlight.
I'm the Editor-in-Chief of The Viper Vibe at Felix Varela High.
I'm the one that carries a mug of coffee to her next class.
I'm the journalist who is sneaking through the back door for an interview.
I'm the thief that slips the USA TODAY from the office into her purse.
I'm the student with bags under her eyes but a twinkle in them nonetheless.
I'm the photographer who's standing on the chair for that perfect angle.
I'm the Mexican who burns the tortillas.
I'm the writer who notices the small details in just about everything.
I'm the girl who gladly opens the door for herself.
I'm the cynic who will understand at your political and pop culture references.
I'm the chick who's kicking the coke machine.
I'm the driver who's honking at you because I left late again.
